The Honeynet Research Alliance is a trusted forum of other honeypot research organizations. Member organizations of the Honeynet Research Alliance are not part of The Honeynet Project. Instead, they are their own independent entities. These organizations subscribe to the Alliance for the purpose of researching, developing and deploying honeypot related technologies and sharing the lessons learned. The goal of the Alliance is to bring together organizations actively involved in honeypot research. Organizations interested in joining the Alliance should first reviewe the charter then contact Dave Watson, he is head of new membership on the Steering Committee.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for general operating policy, procedures, and related matters affecting the Alliance as a whole. It is made up of 5 members from the Alliance. A member must belong to a Alliance member organization. Members are elected by Alliance organizations and hold their position for two years. Every year the Steering Committee select one of the five members to be the chair, who's job is to represent the Steering Committee.
